Privacy policy

Last updated 14 August 2026. This notice explains what Rando does with personal data collected through randocars.com and our station network.

Information we collect

· Account data: name, email address, phone number, postal address and password credentials.
· Driver data: driver license number, expiry, issuing authority and uploaded identity documents.
· Reservation data: pickup and return stations, dates, vehicle class, add-ons and rental history.
· Payment data: card brand, last four digits and authorization results. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processor and are not stored on Rando systems.
· Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed on randocars.com.

· To create and manage reservations, process payments and issue receipts and invoices.
· To verify driver eligibility and prevent fraud, theft and misuse of vehicles.
· To operate the Rando Preferred loyalty program and calculate points and tier status.
· To provide customer support, roadside assistance and claims handling.
· To send service messages, and, where you have opted in, marketing communications.

· Service providers acting on our instructions: payment processing, cloud hosting, email delivery, roadside dispatch and fraud screening.
· Franchise operators and station partners fulfilling your rental in their market.
· Authorities and insurers where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
· We do not sell personal information for money.

· Reservation and billing records are retained for seven years to satisfy tax and accounting obligations.
· Uploaded identity documents are retained for the duration of the rental relationship and deleted within 24 months of your last rental unless a claim is open.
· Marketing preferences are retained until you withdraw consent.

· Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to processing.
· The right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
· The right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

· The right to know what personal information is collected, used and disclosed.
· The right to delete personal information, subject to legal retention obligations.
· The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
· The right to opt out of sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising via the cookie preference center.

· Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.
· Uploaded identity documents are stored in private storage accessible only through short-lived signed links.
